If you sign up for the Oracle Technology Network (it's free), you can
download several Oracle products to play with. They have a scaled-down
versions of Oracle - Oracle 8i Personal, and Oracle 9i Lite. I'm not sure
what all the differences are, but I'm pretty sure they come with a
single-use developer license.
