Hi Jeana,

If you're running Apache you could use Sun image libraries ... I don't know
any more than that though - but I do know we use them here with pretty good
success.  Application:  Resizing/resampling images on the fly if they
haven't been yet and at night goes through and does the rest.

For my own personal use I've used Imagemagick: http://www.imagemagick.org/

Does the job for me!
