sorry richard, looks like i changed it, the code for it is:

<select>
<option style="background-color: rgb(244,234,217);"
value=".com">.com</option>
</select>

you have to enter the colour values in rgb though you can even add it on the
select tag aswell eg:
<select style="background-color: rgb(244,234,217);">
<option style="background-color: rgb(255,255,255);"
value=".com">.com</option>
</select>

don't think it works in NS - but then again what does!
