[thelist] Good online resume/portfolios?

I asked a similar question a little while ago and was given a lot of
differing advice - I was even told it was best not to mention clients or
projects! (even to the point of sillyness where they recommended I change
one entry to "manufacturer of popular fizzy drink")

Basically I think it comes down to your preference and that of the person
reading it, I don't think there is a "right way" although I must say I have
been sent many clearly rubbish CVs over the years!

My advice would be to make it clear, simple, concise and to the point and
give every opportunity to get or ask for more info.

I use a choice selection of very short and distinct case studies, one
intranet, one fmcg, one ecommerce, one eCRM, etc. Screenshots don't really
show off what I do, but I do provide links where appropriate and allowed.

Oh, and make sure your current employer doesn't get to know! I made the
mistake of mentioning on my web site my availability and nearly got the sack
from my current position!

Chris
