This doesn't answer Erika's question directly, but I just spent half of
Saturday fixing domain registration info for 40+ domains I manage.  To help
with the chore, I used this piece of PC shareware which collects all the
relevant info you'd find in a whois lookup for your domains.  And it can
export the same to a text or Access file.  It's a nice way to keep tabs on
the status of your domains.
