Memo from Martin P Burns of PricewaterhouseCoopers

-------------------- Start of message text --------------------

Hi Ed

What's the CMS you're using? (Some CMSs have some reporting built in,
and can integrate with more robust tools)

What kind of stats do you need?

What will the client *do* with them? (data captured for no good reason just
uses disk space)

There are a few reporting engines out there, but all
rely on sensible data to start with.

Cheers
Martin

Subject: [thelist] Best Statistics Server

I am building a dynamic content management site for a large govt entity.

I need to get a good stats engine that can be remotely administered via
http
and have some money in the budget to BUY one ; )

The stats need to track dynamic activity and render pretty reports for the
biz folks.

I usually default to WebTrends Reporting Center
http://www.webtrends.com/products/wrc/default.htm

Is there something better out there that I should know about?
(money is not the primary factor, luckily)
