    Neither IE 6, when in standards-compliance mode, nor Mozilla will render
hex color values that are not preceded by a hash mark. Obviously, in IE 6
you can code around this by not triggering standards-compliance mode. But
why not just include a hash mark in all of your hex color values? It's a
simple habit, it's the standard, and it's the direction in which browsers
are heading.
