For those poor souls who're breaking their heads over why IIS doesn't work 
properly in Win2K Pro, here's a tip:

Running ZoneAlarm on your Win2K Pro PC can cause conflicts with IIS. The 
WWW Publishing service can forever get stuck in "Starting" mode, and you 
may not be able to see your local web site.

The solution is to make sure that the ZoneAlarm TrueVector service (vsmon) 
starts only after the WWW Publishing service has started. You do this by 
editing the registry to make the vsmon service dependant on the W3SVC. 
You'll need Regedt32 (not Regedit) for this.
