I happen to have a G4 sitting right in front of me :)  BTW, I just tried
HTTrack http://www.httrack.com/page0.php  pc only.  Didn't pull the
mouseover images, but other than that it worked great, and let you configure
the root directory for capture.

Emmet,

if you can find a mac :) then try "interarchy"

it has a useful http download feature that can snag an entire site but may
well still look a little bit suspiscous in the server stats logs. Also be
aware that (in the version I have at least) it can't follow javascripted
links and therefore misses pages and images loaded by scripts eg. pop up
windows and rollovers but they can be snagged by hand ( once you have your
site local just make a text file full of the  links to  all the  things
missed and set the target to a new window and click though the list saving
the stuff from the other window ).
