Hey Folks,

Just in case you missed it the first time around;

Several months back there was an email being spread around like wildfire
about the Sulfnbk virus. It was a hoax. Needless to say, a considerable
number of people actually deleted the Sulfnbk.exe file from their systems
because of this hoax.

That same hoax is circulating again. Yesterday one of the "owners/techs"
(tech part may be questionable at this point in time!)at the computer shop I
work in received the email forward from his daughter and proceeded to remove
the file from his, hers, and two shop machines.

A word of caution though...even though I "know" it's not necessary to
caution you enlightened people against email attachments; "Some"
unscrupulous individual/s decided to take advantage of the hoax/scare, and
renamed the executable for the virus/worm W32.Magistr.24876 at mm . The worm
can arrive as an attachment named Sulfnbk.exe.

>From Symantec:

Sulfnbk.exe Warning

The Sulfnbk.exe Warning message has been sent out by email. It is a
hoax and should be ignored. The virus does not exist. A hoax is
usually an email message that gets mailed in chain letter fashion
describing an unlikely type of virus. While this particular email
message is a hoax, the file that is mentioned in the hoax,
Sulfnbk.exe, is a Microsoft Windows utility that is used to restore
long file names. If you get an email message that mentions the
Sulfnbk.exe virus and asks you to delete the Sulfnbk.exe file and
forward the warning to everyone in your address book, please ignore
the email message and delete it. For complete information about the
Sulfnbk.exe hoax and sample Sulfnbk.exe email messages, point your
