Greetings -
I wonder if someone can help with a problem that I
have with Oracle intersect queries. It seems that
when I compose a multi-clause query with a union
condition, then no matter how many unions are
involved, the record set returns with expected
results.
When I substitute the intersection clause, then the
returned results are only consistent with a single
intersection.
So if the table has authors and I ask for all records
where author is "A" union all records where author is
"B" etc, I get the correct records.
With intersect used as a subsetting condition
(exclusion) they cannot be composed with more than a
single intersection.
Thanks
Joel
