not true at all.  it might not get indexed as soon as the content changes,
but it will still get indexed.

avoid the conventional query string then.  that will be the bane of search
engine indexing.  keep the question mark, ampersands, and equal signs out of
the url and you're good.

from a user's perspective, the shorter the urls the better.  so, try to
create the dynamic url structure in a way that is easy to remember.  the
best way would be to recreate them using the same urls you're using now.
you get the added benefit of not breaking any of the links.  this should be
doable as there is enough information (month and year) in the url to query
for the stories.
