actually, that's completely false.  meta tags are now ignored by most of the
search engines due to spamming.

agreed.  nothing wrong with having meta tags, but don't expect a huge
improvement or any improvement at all from having them in there.  if you
wanna improve your rankings on google then get other people to link to you.
that's the surefire way to shoot straight to the top of google's listings.
