Do you mean your computer is slowing down in performance? If so, that has
nothing to do with how much software simply resides -- unopened -- on your
hard drive. It could be a result of what programs are open visibly or in the
background. Try turning things off from your taskbar, check your task
manager and start menu and remove background apps you don't need.

On the other hand, if you mean your HD is running out of space to hold more
data or programs, why not simply buy a new hard drive? They're ridiculously
cheap now, and a program like Powerquest's Drive Image can help you copy
everything on your current HD to a new, larger one.
