Thought about doing this, but as you say it is too expensive.

Forgot to mention.  I have a P3 733mhz w/ 450 ram.  Plenty of space.

Everything has a "shadow" on it.  By shadow, I mean all my windows and 
mouse arrows have a echo on the monitor showing about 1/16 inch from the 
end of it.  Been like this for years.  Several different OS versions.

It also has picked up a little shimmy every now and then.
