Does anyone know of an ActiveX or Java applet that acts like a simple
drawing surface that can create a jpg or gif and send that file to the
server?

I've found this Java applet http://www.lawrencegoetz.com/programs/signature/
that is exactly what I need, except that it sends the drawing to the server
as x/y points. If possible I dont want to have to go through parsing the
points, and creating the program to write out the image.
