I would think with the proper drivers you could access it via ODBC. I wonder how HotSync for the Plam/Handspring to do. I did find these: There is really no other information that I have on the ODBC linking the information over improperly. It sounds as if you need the Software Development Kit (SDK). The SDK should also contain some good documentation of the field layouts etc. ACT! for Windows is a programmatically extensible application. Through a set of application programming interfaces (APIs) second and third-party developers can write programs that interact with the ACT! application and database. The ACT! SDK documents the DDE and OLE interfaces which provide the means for developers to write custom solutions based around ACT! To acquire the SDK you must first get the document #121 off of our Fax on Demand (FOD) line. The FOD number is 1-800-554-4403 and select option #1. You must fill the form out completely and fax it back to the number provided on the form (541-984-8026). It takes around 7 to 14 days after that to get the SDK. http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&threadm=980219155854.5135917241%40service.symantec.com&rnum=5&prev=/groups%3Fq%3D%252Bact%2B%252Bodbc%26hl%3Den%26selm%3D980219155854.5135917241%2540service.symantec.com%26rnum%3D5 -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= You can only read the ACT! DFB files (contact info only) via ODBC using the FoxPro 2.5 driver. If you need read/write access, you need to use the OLE2 interface as per the SDK (www.Symantec.com/act/sdk). http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&threadm=980603082123.8460285619%40service&rnum=1&prev=/groups%3Fq%3D%252Bact%2B%252Bodbc%26hl%3Den%26selm%3D980603082123.8460285619%2540service%26rnum%3D1 -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Act! uses dBase (*.dbf) files. Therefore you should be able to use your Microsoft dBase ODBC driver. http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&threadm=ufpqi7RY%24GA.260%40cppssbbsa04&rnum=2&prev=/groups%3Fq%3D%252Bact%2B%252Bodbc%26hl%3Den%26selm%3Dufpqi7RY%2524GA.260%2540cppssbbsa04%26rnum%3D2 --- Anthony Baratta President Keyboard Jockeys "Conformity is the refuge of the unimaginative."
