I found the following e-Booklet at Amzaon's e-book page. "Really Bad PowerPoint (and how to avoid it)" is a ten page (or so) e-booklet by Seth Godin (http://sethgodin.com). He discusses very simply why most PowerPoint presentations suck and how to improve them. Ignoring the specific focus on PowerPoint, you will find it has some great lessons on effective communication.
