[thelist] CFPOP and Linux

For ColdFusion, the <CFPOP> tag tends to have a...um..."iffy" track record.

Is there any platform/version where this is not the case (Linux or in CF
5)?  And, if not, what would be an adequate replacement for it (custom tags
or anything else that ColdFusion can interface with)?
