You mean the 'I picked text/plain'?
HTML email is evil :-) I assume that that is a friendly hint that they
don't like it. A lot of the lists I'm on ban HTML email altogether which
as a listaholic I'm grateful for.
You could reverse the question: What value is there in the extra
information sent with your HTML email? Hot topic on the Mutt list I'm on
and one that evokes strong views.


<Tip>
Most email clients render urls as links regardless of the format you
send your mail in. Plain text is easier on bandwidth and users that
don't use graphical email clients. Choose text/plain in your settings if
at all possible and avoid the annoying 'I picked' messages in your mail
:-)
