JavaScript after all was issued from the bowels of Netscape.
*gasp* Did I say that?!
[I suffer from something I refer to as "Post Traumatic Netscape Disorder"
- a disease the primary symptom of which is habits requiring byzantine
references that were originally learned to work around Netscape 4 bugs (or
more accurately, its *undocumented* bugs. But the language is actually
pretty cool as languages go.]
The code examples provided are often (obtuse || sparse) enough to result
in serious headscratching, but source can generally fix that problem.
