[thelist] Table question in IE PC

I need some help for a problem is that frankly baffling me.  If you look at

http://www.osk.ie/news.html (a site I inherited, man I hate new jobs).  The
side menu options should be a lot closer together than they currently are.
On Mac IE5, it's fine, which is why I didn't notice the problem.  It's
caused by the middle cell (with the content).  If I delete a portion of that
to make it smaller, the menu displays fine again.

Basically, what it looks like is:
a: menu options
b: content

a   b
a   b
a   b
a   b

but when more content is added:

a   b
    b
a   b
    b
a   b
    b

I've never seen this before, and I know the code is the cause of it, but
short of redeveloping the code now, I can't figure a way around it.  Please
help...
