[thelist] xhtml & IE 6 script

hiya!

trying to move to xhtml transitional here on this new project. i have a
script callout in a certain place where i add a menu:

]]>

ie 6 on nt gives me a scripting error. i must be placing the xhtml stuff
incorrectly. what's the right way?
