Here are a few steps to guide you.

The PS Way :

1. Install a PS print driver (or printer)
2. Set it to "print to file"
3. Open your word doc.
4. Print to the PS printer
5. Open Acrobat Distiller
6. Convert from PS to PDF

The Adobe Acrobat Integrated Way :
1. Install Adobe Acrobat 5
2. Restart your computer
3. Open up word
4. Open your document
5. Right click on any toolbar and choose Acrobat
6. Click on the left button on the Acrobat toolbar to convert the document
to pdf

The Adobe Online Way :
1. Navigate to : https://createpdf.adobe.com/
2. Create a free account
3. Login with your username/password
4. Upload your .doc file
5. Download your pdf file.

The Adobe Online way may be the easiest for you (especially if you don't
have Acrobat 5.0) (which you do, so it doesn't matter). However, you only
get 5 free conversions, before you have to pay $9.99/Month.
