Right, it's called Content Negotiation. You

At this point, you can either "fix" your browser, or simply remove
the language pages that you don't want from Apache's DocumentRoot.

The binaries, while convenient, are generally not the best way to install
MySQL. You will gain a great deal more satisfaction when installing MySQL on
a Linux machine by downloading the source code and installing according to
the instructions. Also, the installation will be more accurate for your
particular flavor of Linux and less likely to cause installation problems.
You'll spend more time trying to "fix" a binary problem than you will
installing from source.
