[thelist] Dreamweaver, WEB DAV file locking error

Hello,

Using Dreamweaver 4.01 (with update), we're experiencing problems with
files locking permanently when trying to put/checkin new or edited files
to the server using web dav.
The server is on a Digital Unix box using Apache 1.3.22 (mod_dav)
Getting files from the server (synchronizing etc) does not cause any
problems, just using checkin or put.
Even disabling the versioning functionality by decreasing the timeout to
a small amount does not have any effect.
Using the DAVexplorer, to analyse the lock, shows that Dreamweaver sets
the timeout to infinite irrespective of what it is set in the conf file.
To remove the locks we have had to clean the DAVlock.pag file in
apache/var.

file or directory: Existing lock(s) on the requested resource 	prevent
an exclusive lock.  [423, #0]"

This problem might have been highlighted previously, if so could you
point me in the right direction.
