I usually don't have much of a problem finding Computer Arts in Chicago -
CreateOnline is a bit more difficult though ... btw, I highly recommend
CreateOnline. As Chris stated, Computer Arts is quite general, and good for
an intro but after about half a year I found most of the magazine to be
redundant. Personally, I find CreateOnline to be the more informative
magazine, but it's mostly focused around current design trends/issues (the
latest issue has several articles about web standards) and the industry -
not much in the way of code or tutorials. For what it's worth, I usually
don't find the supplementary cd to be of much use.
Also, with both magazines you can get a pretty heavy discount if you
subscribe to them.
