[thelist] browsers implementation of <pre>

Hi all

I *have* looked for this (honest<grin>) but can't find quick answers :(

Does anyone know how various browsers handle the <pre> element.

It seems to me that NS 6.2 and Op6 both disable the word wrap because my
text is breaking out of it's <div>. However, IE5.5pc seems to wrap it ok.
It's taken me a whole day to work out that this is probably my problem so
I'm a bit dischuffed atm.
