Hello,
I recently started in a new position with a new company, and hardly had I
entered the building or the good old Flash vs. DHTML discussion started once
again.
Fortunately the designers in my new company have shown a willingness to be
convinced that DHTML is, in some cases, a viable alternative to Flash.
Nonetheless, I'd like to make a very strong case, not least because I like
DHTML programming and want to use it often.
Therefore my question is: Does anyone know good examples of web sites that
use DHTML or the W3C DOM *in a useful or beautiful way*? I'd like to show
these examples to the designers to give them a good feel of what JavaScript
can and can't do.
Of course I'm going to add sites I already know about, most particularly the
useful and beautiful W3C DOM application at http://www.iht.com (take a look
if you don't know it already). But I'd like some extra ammunition.
So: who's got some good sites the designers at my new company should
consider? Please do *not* answer with arguments in favour or against Flash
or DHTML, I already know them. I just want some example sites.
Thanks,
ppk
