[thelist] disabled javascript

I kinda paid attention to this thread.

It's hard for me to swallow that 12% of visitors to the sites I make
have JavaScript disabled ... maybe if you're doing porn sites, that
would see right, or even low.

I have a few sites that require JavaScript and the answer to
visitor's questions hasn't once been "You need to enable JavaScript"
... it's been "You need the Windows Media Player to play Windows
Media files", "The message saying you have to change your browser's
preferences so as to accept cookies means you have to change your
browser's preferences ...", "You have to hit the 'submit' button
after you fill out the form" ... and this is my favorite answer: "My
phone number is at the bottom of the message you were replying to" ...

But not once: "You need to enable JavaScript."

People that turn it off know how to turn it back on, or know how to
ask her son what he did to the computer ...
