[thelist] attached .txt file

Andrew,

Check under Options>Email Options>On Replies and Forwards. Make sure it does
not say " Attach original Message". It should read something like "Include
original message." Hope that helps.

As no one else has replied to this I thought I'd take a guess.  Is it
perhaps a signature file of some sort?

(As I said its a guess, if its wrong, it might motivate someonelse to
post the correct answer!!)
