Adam,

I wrote a javascript a while back that does what you want but by swapping
images, not CSS
styles. I wrote this to use with Dreamweaver library items, which are
analogous to SSI in that you're dealing with a central file whose content
doesn't change.

Anyway it shouldn't be too hard to change the code from swapping "img src"
to "class id". Here's a zip file of the script and demo if you're
