	When I contacted the instructor about a difficulty I was having it turned out he lacked even basic html skills. I worked out the solution myself by comparing my code with that of a professionally designed site. Impressions can be very misleading.

	The other designers have abandoned any idea of pursueing web design as the process is so far removed from working in Quark.

In my experience in design for print I am aware that I need to understand the print process that I am designing for. It is likely that a print designer will not have an adequate understanding of how they're design will appear in someone elses browser.
