Cmd+Shift+3 grabs the entire screen.
If you hold down Cmd+Shift+4 you get a cross.
If you click and drag to select the part of the screen you want captured
you will hear the familiar camera click and you will have a cropped pic on your hd.
I have an alias of Photoshop on my desktop
so if I drop the 'Picture..' on top of the Photoshop icon it opens in Photoshop.
Did you also know that if you copy an area in Photoshop, create a new image, then paste into this new image, it will fit exaclty.
