I'm another IT person. I had the same problem about a year ago - 'View
source' just quit working, with no other indication of any problem
whatsoever.. I tried everything I could think of, including endless advice
from every IT tech I could track down, and never found a solution. All the
logical ideas - change the 'edit' app for IE, reinstall IE, reinstall
TextPad, Visual Studio, and other apps I was using as editors, downgrade and
upgrade again, reinstall Windows, on and on for two months. Finally, I wiped
my drive and rebuilt the machine.
