Chris: I would recommend getting hold of visual interdev for any kind of serious step through debugging work. On the other hand, I have used variations of the technique described here : http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;q299986 to do some kind of debugging when visual interdev was not available.
