I work in SQL Server 7.0 for Web sites and other clients. mySQL is a
fine product for some uses, but it is not SQL Server (or Oracle).
For truely complex projects, it is the development tools that make the
difference, and it is the expensive database products that come with
enterprise strength tools.
For less complex projects, I don't know any reason not to use mySQL. A
lot of people have said nice things about it here, and I agree.
