Im very new to ecommerce, and ive been playing around with phpshop
(www.phpshop.org). I'd like to set up a store online at my site, and I have
a couple questions:

- what does it take to get a secure server/connection set up?

- it is possible to install/run phpshop ~without~ a secure server. What are
the ramifications of this? why is that even an option?

any information about these issues, or where i can find out more would be
appreciated.
