From there, you can move them easily to your projects folder
and delete all unused files, for instance all .vcf files at
once. This way you don't keep MBs of useless files for years,
and everything is in it's place.

Outlook stores all email into 1 single, huge, binary folder that
is well hidden somewhere deep in the windows folder. This is a real
horror to me. What if that binary file gets damaged after three years?

Eudora is set up to have one simple text file for every mailbox folder,
for instance c:\eudora\mailing_lists\evolt.mbx - I appreciate that they
give me back the control that MS keeps trying to take from me with most
of their products.

To switch mail to my notebook, I only need to backup the files that
have changed in the last seven days or so, which saves me a lot of time
and hassle.

Is this the same with 'The Bat!'? What kind of files and file system
does this client use? To my taste the interface of Bat! looks somewhat
childish, but the regex options look interesting.

Tnx

Mike
