[thelist] NN4.08/Mac limit on <OPTION>s?

I've had a bug in NN4 on MacOS8 where it won't display more <options>
than can fit on the screen... Nothing was greyed out, they just weren't
there. In other words, my drop-down didn't have a scrollbar.

Never did figure out how to fix the bug, either, so I just worked around
it...

Subject: [thelist] NN4.08/Mac limit on <OPTION>s?

Does anyone know if NN4.08 for Mac has a limit on the number of
<OPTION>s you can have in a <SELECT> box?

I have a few cases on the same site where there are a lot of options,
but some of them are greyed out and you can't select them. And it's
consistent too -- for example, one page, there are two lists of US
states and both of them have all options after "NJ" greyed out. It seems
to top out at around 30-32.

Although the <SELECT> boxes are auto-generated by ASP.NET (they are
really <asp:DropDownList>s), they don't have anything odd HTML in them.

Has anyone seen this before, and is there a solution to it?

Thanks in advance.
