I did the install from scatch and all seems to well, now its tweak time for both
apache and php.  I didn't get the phpmyadmin though so any help on that would be
cool

Andrew, you are digging a deep hole!

did you follow the PHP install instructions, for win98 and Apache?

Have you tried:

http://www.easyphp.org/

which will install preconfigured Apache/PHP/MySQL/PHPmyadmin ?

just start from scratch....

BTW

the url for locally hosted pages should be:

http://127.0.0.1/  or http://localhost/ (no.com, .co.uk etc unless you
have a dns running)
