Andrew,

Are you saying that emailing from the server *does* work when using a form
but your mailing list script fails to send any emails? If yes then how does
your mailing list script get run?

Can you run a test script on the server to see if it generates errors e.g...

<?
// Send a test email to myself
mail('andrew at yourdomain.com','Test message','Blah Blah Blah');
?>

If you had access to the error log you may find some errors maybe similar to
this (this was from a Win32 host however)...

[Wed Aug 14 16:31:58 2002] [error] PHP Warning:  mail(): Failed to connect
to mailserver at "smtp.myhost.com" port 25, verify your "SMTP"and
"smtp_port" setting in php.ini or use ini_set() in
/httpdocs/myapp/mailshot/send.php on line 24

Hi Rich the script is on different sites same server, which is why I
thougtht it
may have been the host, the mail fuction is working to send info via forms
so
its a bit odd.  I dont have the server logs.  what would that tell me?

Could be many things - they could have blocked you if they thought you were
spamming but I would have thought that you would have been contacted.. have
you access to the server logs? Anything unusual in there?

Hi guys

I setup a mailing script a couple of weeks ago and all was well, emails get
inserted and the form when processed sent the mail to everyone in the DB
(Mysql)
nowe for some reason it aint working?  Any ideas, could the hosting company
blocked the facility?
