Drove some coworkers nuts for a few days.  Hope this helps someone else.

For some reason, occasionally, viewing a ColdFusion MX site in Netscape 4.X
wreaks all sorts of havoc because of the character set.  Meaning, all or
many of your characters will suddenly change to those little squares,
rendering your content worthless.

If you experience this problem, try adding this tag to your application.cfm
files to clear up the problem:

<CFCONTENT TYPE="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1">
