Funny. I was just answering that other email about
SMTP authentication.

Anyway, I'd be willing to bet good money that the
problem has nothing to do with the web interface but
rather an open SMTP relay (his mailserver.)

Tell him to find a developer/technician who has
actually set up a mailserver once before so he can
close the open relay and turn on some strong
authentication. That's about all he needs to know.
