[thelist] audio format question

Hello all,

In a conversation yesterday with a client, the question came up "if we can only use one audio format (background music) which should it be and why"  I suggested Flash or embeded as an .mp3.  Should I change my suggestion to a .wma (Windows Media file) or something else?  Any advice would be of interest to me and very much appreciated.  Thanks.
