IMO no... it is worth downloading TopStyle[1] (Windows only, iirc) and
testing it out.

I'm sure someone has, but I have not been able to get it to work on my
site.  Foolish, really... it would benefit them to have an
easy-to-install version so that people who would like to can use it on
their own servers rather than using W3C's bandwidth and server power.

[1]Topstyle, of which I am nothing more than a satisfied user, will give
you better information than the validator.  It also tells you about
potential browser-specific bugs, etc.
