also noticed that you are using a <div> NS4 will want to access the layer to
swap an image:

function flip(who,imageSwap) {
        if (isNS4) {
            document.layers.charLayer1.document.images[who].src = imageSwap;
        }

are the rest of your images in different layers?? if so you'll have to pass
the layer name for each image swap as well.
