[thelist] Converting VCD to AVI/MPG

A .dat file is basically just an MPEG1 stream with some error correcting
data.  You can use VCDGear to extract it from your vcd, then use Virtual Dub
to covert it to AVI.

I have a 11 MB video clip in VCD (.dat) format that I'd like to convert to
