Thanks Anthony, Stephane, others. At the risk of looking like an
osseocephilic, I'll reveal my dumbness. When I moved the box off our network
to a free-standing connection to our DSL connection, I changed the domain to
a workgroup, but didn't change the primary DNS suffix, so it half thought it
was still on the network, thus hosing DNS and apparently HTTP requests.
