I would get a firewire card if you don't already have one, up to 400
megs/sec. Windows xp or OS x comes with an easy, self explanatory movie
editor that will do exactly what you need. Get or rent or borrow a DV
camcorder and daisy chain the analog cam to the dv cam by rca cables
then plug in your firewire cable. I work in dv and this is a inexpensive
way to get quality video from an analog camcorder.
They also sell special vcr combos w/ firwire. As for video requirements.
A min 20 gig hd an 256megs of ram is required with out problems.
